Fleming Europe’s Smart Grids, Smart Cities conference held on March 20-21^st  in Nice brought together experts from both public and private sectors to discuss the initiatives, successful implementations and the future outlook for Smart Cities 2013 and beyond.

The European Network of Living Labs was invited to give a presentation on the vision for the future of Smart Cities during the first day at the expert speakers panel.

ENoLL (Ana Garcia, ENoLL Office) presented the Smart City vision of its Living Labs community through some of the European initiatives that ENoLL participates in such as Future Internet PPP, CitySDK, and SPECIFI European Creative ring, emphasizing the need for cities to incorporate high levels of Citizen collaboration in their smart city strategies and to embrace new ways of collaboration and concepts such as open platforms, open data, and finally to put more focus on developers, SMEs and end users.

Cities and industry from all over the world (mainly Asia, North America and Europe) showed interest to be part of the dialog in the Vision of Smart Cities that ENoLL and European Future Internet community is developing.
