In the framework of Futur en Seine, international festival dedicated to digital innovation, ENoLL and ECIM initiative participated in the conference entitled “How to Build Smart Mobility Systems to Improve Local Transport Plans?”, held in Issy (Paris) on the 16th of June, 2015.
The event aimed to examine how both French and European mobility actors are working to improve urban mobility through digital innovation.
During the ECIM session, supported by ENoLL, a number of international case studies was showcased. After an in-depth ECIM presentation delivered by Hugo Kerschot (IS-Practice), the audience welcomed representatives of four European smart cities: Barcelona, Milan, Santander and Birmingham. These cities converged to discover new mobility solutions (like ECIM’s) and present their major activities on/for smart mobility.
Two private mobility solutions were also presented during this session: Mappy (an app to search for addresses, places, plan routes and prepare journeys) and PayByPhone, a smart cashless parking app that can be already used in 6 countries and 300 cities. A large audience (around 120 people in total) followed presentations and asked many questions to the panel.
In Issy we had the possibility to discover many new smart mobility solutions and get in touch with representatives of public institutions, cities and private companies. We met delegates of French institutions/companies like the Ministry of Transport (France), Mappy, CAP DIGITAL, ATEC ITS France, la “Fabrique des mobilités”, Ademe, Federation du Co-voiturage, but also representatives of Helsinki Business Hub, the Flemish eGovernment Co-ordination Unit (Belgium), University of Salerno (Italy), city of Milan, Barcelona and Santander.
