ENoLL has been actively involved in the WATIFY awareness-raising campaign launched by the European Commission with the aim of supporting European businesses in their digital transformation and their adoption of advanced technologies. Part of the campaign includes the collection and dissemination of regional best practices. These success stories will showcase how cooperation between various actors in a region or city can accelerate the uptake of Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) and/or digital technologies by European companies.
We encourage all ENoLL members and other interested parties to submit their best practices and regional success stories for this wide-reaching campaign in order to benefit from the publicity and to support the knowledge exchange.
WATIFY ‘ROADMAP’ REGIONAL BEST PRACTICES
1. WHAT ARE REGIONAL BEST PRACTICES?
WATIFY’s aim is to support European businesses in their digital transformation and their adoption of advanced technologies. A major component of WATIFY is the collection and dissemination of regional best practices.
These success stories will showcase how cooperation between various actors in a region/city can accelerate the uptake of KETs and/or digital technologies by European companies.
This is an unique opportunity for you to promote your regional success story/region/city throughout Europe.
2. WHAT DO YOU GET?
WATIFY offers the following:
WATIFY will develop a visually attractive two-pager with an appealing text about your regional success story.
The story will be disseminated through the WATIFY website and social media channels (25.000 likes on Facebook; 4.000 followers on Twitter).
The story can act as a shining example during WATIFY presentations which will be held at various (big) events.
3. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
In short:
European companies, with a particular focus on SMEs, that have successfully transformed their businesses. They should have achieved real results (i.e. in terms of increased productivity, efficiency, improved quality etc.) through the application of KETs or digital technologies.
The company (or companies) should have cooperated successfully with one or more
Triple Helix actors in its process of transformation (i.e. regional/local/city governments play a role as facilitator, knowledge institutes provide the required knowledge/test facilities or joint programmes with other suppliers/SMEs).
4. SEND YOUR PROPOSAL
Thus, do you want to promote your regional success story throughout Europe? Please send your proposal (a few sentences describing the story, including some informative links) to s.meijers@brainportdevelopment.nl. Subsequently, the WATIFY consortium will determine which stories are best suited for WATIFY.
The opportunity to propose regional best practices is a permanent one during the whole campaign (which lasts until mid-2018). However, because there is only limited room for such stories within WATIFY, we advise you to send your proposals quickly.
In case you have any questions, feel free to send your questions to s.meijers@brainportdevelopment.nl.
