Last December 2, the Innovation Ecosystems Agora took place in Paris. It was the first edition of a major event which gathered together innovation ecosystems such as fablabs, incubators, maker spaces and, of course, last but least, living labs.
Several living labs and future living lab applicants from various countries (France, Belgium, Turkey, Maghreb) attended the event and some of them gave presentations in a session organized by France Living Labs. A strong focus was made on fablabs and maker spaces which were judged as very complementary of living labs. Brigitte Trousse, Pesident of France Living Labs, seized this opportunity to announce the launch of the francophone network of living labs. Mr Yilmaz Cakir from Turkey presented the Basaksehir living lab and invited the participants to attend the next ENoLL summer school (OpenLivingLab Days 2015), due in Istanbul next august 25-28. The spirit of open and user-led innovation, as well as the european dimension were also fostered in two presentations:
– One given by Bror Salmelin, Adviser on ecosystems at the European Commission, who talked about Innovation 2.0l;
– One by Charles Thou, CEO of Agorize, a startup which is specializing in online hackathons who presented the Hack4Europe inititiative.
Most presentations are online here + some videos here (but mostly in french)
