ENoLL welcomes new 10th Wave members under Dutch EU Presidency at Oi2 Conference
On the 23rd of May 2016, the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) announced the results of the 10th Wave and officially welcomed the new members in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, during the OpenInnovation 2.0 Conference, held under the label of the Dutch EU Presidency and co-organised by the European Commission DG CONNECT’s On the 23rd of May 2016, the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) announced the results of the 10th Wave and officially welcomed the new members in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, during the OpenInnovation 2.0 Conference, held under the label of the Dutch EU Presidency and co-organised by the European Commission DG CONNECT’s Open Innovation Group (OISPG). ENoLL is a community of international Living Labs with a sustainable strategy for enhancing innovation on a systematic basis and the vision of “empowering everyone to innovate.” The association supports the evolution and wide uptake of the Living Lab paradigm throughout Europe and beyond. The overall objective is to contribute to the creation of a dynamic European innovation ecosystem with a global reach. ENoLL aims to support co-creative, human-centric and user-driven research, development and innovation in order to better cater for people’s needs. ENoLL has grown through annual ‘Waves’ of calls for membership since November 2006. To date the 10 waves have resulted in 400+ historically recognised Living Labs. The 10th wave of membership was launched on the 1st of December 2015 and closed on March 15th 2016. The peer-led evaluation process, headed by Jesse Marsh and supported by 16 international experts from 9 different countries, resulted in 18 new accepted Living Labs from 13 different countries joining the worldwide Open Living Labs community.
