For the 11th time, the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) is calling for services, products, and business innovations that use satellite navigation in everyday life. The competition is open to individuals as well as teams of entrepreneurs from industry, research, and universities. Participants can benefit from cooperating with 26 partner regions worldwide and key stakeholders such as the European GNSS Agency (GSA), the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the European Patent Office (EPO) as well as the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). This year’s ESNC prize pool is worth about EUR 1 million. In total more than 30 prizes will be awarded – among them also the GNSS Living Lab Prize that calls for developers and users to submit proposals for GNSS-related products and services that are ready to be tested in a suitable Living Lab. Up to five teams will have the chance to conduct a reality check trial. The Digital Spaces Living Lab in Bulgaria (focus: Media), New Tools for Health in Sweden (focus: Health), the Integrative Usage Lab in France (focus: Media), espaitec Living Lab in Spain (open topic) as well as Forum Virium Helsinki in Finland (focus: Smart City) are partners to conduct a reality check. The ESNC supports innovators in realising their applications and business cases through the largest network in satellite navigation.
