ENoLL Year-end General Assembly 2020
Today ENoLL’s year-end General Assembly took place where the owners of the association gathered, and numerous stakeholders participated with advisory function.
The highlight of the event was the formal signature of the Memorandum of Understanding with Korea Local Information Research & Development Institute (KLID). The document was signed by ENoLL Chairperson of the Executive Board Dr. Fernando Vilariño and KLID President Dr. Dae-Beom Ji (find out more).
Upcoming MoU initiatives have been introduced on Living Lab strategic collaborations with EU institutions which are in the preparation phase.
During these difficult times we aimed to bring a playful element to the formal meeting format, therefore the 2020 year-end results and achievements were presented in a quiz format where our participants had the chance to prove their engagement and knowledge with the Open Innovation network since its foundation in 2006 and this peculiar year of 2020.

We are glad to reward the winners of the game: Wim de Kinderen (Brainport Eindhoven Living Lab), Josep Maria Salanova (CERTH, ThessMALL Living Lab) and Brigitte Trousse (ICT Usage Living Lab, Francophhonie Living Labs).
As part of the official ceremony, ENoLL operational Budget Plan 2021 was approved, in order to operationally kickstart the next year, with an ambitious increase of 80%, compared to the 2020 budget figures. This is thanks to the great results achieved during the last cycle of Horizon2020 grants with the committed work of ENoLL Office, Secretariat, Board and members. The last year resulted 8 new approved projects with overall 2m€+ grants.
The roadmap on the bylaws renewal and the new ENoLL Strategic plan has been also shared with the community and all members were invited to contribute this upcoming year.
I personally had the chance to comment on my 6,5 years with ENoLL and specifically the years as Director, on the occasion of hosting my last ENoLL General Assembly. I grew together with the network, had the chance to learn from great mentors, improve my organizational skills and theoretical know-how on open innovation and Living labs, get to know amazing people, projects, real DOers and importantly my Brussels family: the ENoLL office team.
The transition plan for the next six months has been announced, during which period ENoLL Network Builder Koen Vervoort received the trust and nomination from ENoLL Secretariat and Director to hold the Interim Director title while the hiring process for the next ENoLL Association Director is running: https://enoll.org/newsroom/?news-id=9048
On behalf of the ENoLL Team we wish peaceful holidays and good health for you and your bellowed ones!
