He has studied at the NHTV University of Applied Science (in Breda) and his study was Transportation Management. After graduation he obtained the title: Bachelor of Built Environment in Traffic and Transport Management.
The client for his bachelor thesis was Brabant Mobiliteitsnetwerk (or in English: Brabant Mobility Network) (BMN) and this organization works on behalf of the Province of Noord-Brabant (‘s-Hertogenbosch). The case study that was used in the thesis was the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven and it all went about the community that BMN established at this High Tech Campus. The goal of this community is to let the people that work on the High Tech Campus make smarter choices regarding their mobility. It is about mobility management and how to have influence on the choices people make regarding mobility. The question BMN asked Casper was threefold:
– What is the Living Lab methodology?
– What are the advantages/pitfalls when using this methodology?
– Could this methodology be applied on the High Tech Campus (on the existing community but perhaps in future also on other BMN-communities) and in which way should BMN set up a Living Lab to reach the goals that apply to this community?
The companies that are part of this High Tech Campus community are: Philips, NXP, the HTC site management and BMN. Also included in this community are the municipality of Eindhoven, the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e) and in some meetings the Province of Noord-Brabant (as they closely work together with BMN).
Recently during the Design and the City Amsterdam event Casper had the opportunity in the framework of the ENoLL – Tampere: Lose your Way workshop to present his Roadmap to the audience and gather feedback on his proposal.
Please find below Casper’s proposal.
