The course will follow the same successful structure of the Spring Edition starting from 10 October 2023 and ending on 5 December 2023. Connecting theory to practice, the series of online sessions of around 2.5 hours will take place every week, on Tuesday mornings. The lessons are recorded and if you are living in a different time zone you will be able to watch the recordings and enjoy the sessions at your own pace. Hence, this course is open to everyone eager to learn how to set up a Living Lab!
Learning Lab Day 0 at Open Living Lab Days 2023
The Learning Lab Day 0 is a one-day training offered to newcomers of the Living Lab community and enthusiast practitioners interested in learning more about the key elements and operations of Living Labs.
Learning Lab Day 0 brings together a group of experienced trainers on Living Lab methodologies and tools, partners from international projects aiming to set-up Living Labs, expert ENoLL members, students, researchers, and practitioners from Living Labs. Learning Lab Day 0 will offer lectures and case study presentations connecting theory to practice, as well as hands-on exercises to support Living Lab newcomers and practitioners in applying learnings into their own specific contexts. We welcome academics, researchers, government officials and employees from public administrations and companies, as well as civil society organisations.
The Learning Lab Day 0 will present practical case studies on Living Labs featured by the GILL, Score, Urbanome, ALL-READY and VITALISE EC funded projects.
The 2023 program of Learning Lab Day 0 will be organized into 1 training:
The Learning Lab Day 0 aims to train participants in understanding what Living Labs are and are not, starting from the basics (e.g. pitfalls and challenges of Living Labs, key characteristics, how they function, etc.) up to explore the main building blocks of setting up a Living Lab from the stakeholder engagement, sustainability of the Living Labs, Co-creation and experimentation in the Living Lab environment. Training 1 has been built as a lighter version of the ENoLL Virtual Learning Lab, condensed on the main topics supporting newcomers in shedding light upon the most frequently asked questions: How to set up a Living Lab? What stakeholders to be involved? How to make a Living Lab sustainable over time? How to make co-creation and experimentation effective for Living Labs? The training is organized in 4 main frontal lessons. After each presentation, a Q&A session will be offered to the audience. The training offer ends with 1 hands-on session where the participants are guided through a process of reflecting on how to co-create and experiment in their potential Living Lab.
More information on the Learning Lab Day 0 program is available here, while tickets can be purchased here.
