The European Week of Regions and Cities (also known as the Open Days) is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
The first day of EUWRC2016 focused on laying the groundwork to promote sustainable and inclusive growth across European regions and cities.
This year’s European Week of Regions and Cities (EUWRC) takes a closer look at challenges and opportunities to foster growth in regions and cities. Topics ranging from measures to create job opportunities for all and building a more ‘self-employment friendly’ business environment, to best practices on implementing EU-backed projects and more are being discussed by hundreds of people from across Europe.
ENoLL is actively participating at the event and will publish exclusive information from the workshops for its members. On Day 2, we attended the morning session on: “Cities and regions as launch-pads for digital transformation”.
