Yesterday i2CAT organised the first IoT Catalan Alliance meeting which brought together businesses, government and Living Labs from Catalonia in lively discussion. This initative aims to join forces and define strategies amongst all actors involved in Internet of Things (IoT) to promote this emerging sector in Catalonia.
This initiative already has already linked a large number of companies (Cellnex, Vodafone, Alcatel-Lucent, Everis, Doxa and Altran) together with the government, universities (such as UAB) and research centers (such as or Eurecat CTTC) and Living Labs like i2CAT and Citilab. These Catalan companies and organizations who have already developped activities in this area will explore their capabilities and needs, encourage the exchange of information, generate synergies among alliance members and provide an environment for product validation and interoperability testing.
