The Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab, with initiatives in both Amsterdam and Rotterdam, serves as a vibrant research and innovation platform dedicated to reimagining the urban leisure and tourism sectors. Our mission is to foster sustainable and inclusive experiences by bringing together a diverse coalition of stakeholders, including local communities, businesses, policymakers, and academics. The lab operates as a testing ground for experimenting with new concepts, strategies, and technologies aimed at enhancing urban livability and contributing to a resilient local economy.
In Amsterdam and Rotterdam alike, the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab focuses on co-creation and participatory research to uncover innovative solutions to contemporary challenges in the urban leisure and tourism arenas. By leveraging local knowledge and expertise, we aim to craft unique, meaningful, and sustainable urban experiences that benefit both visitors and residents. Our approach encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing, enabling us to positively impact the social, cultural, and economic fabric of cities.
