LABe Digital Gastronomy Lab

LABe Digital Gastronomy Lab

LABe emerges as a mission-driven innovation lab of experimentation, co-creation, prototyping and testing of new products, services and solutions integrating technology, to contribute to the transformation of gastronomy and food, adding value to people and planet, through a methodological approach based on Open Innovation and Human-centered Design.

Among other spaces, LABe counts on a real restaurant, open to the public, which works as an observatory and test-bed for new products and technologies that aim to solve problems at the back-office and front-office of food services or hospitality businesses.

Basque Culinary Center (BCC) has led the design, conceptualization, implementation and management process of LABe – Digital Gastronomy Lab, within a territorial development framework since the beginning (Etorkizuna Eraikiz “Gastronomy4.0”) and strategy supported and seed-funded by Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, Basque Government and San Sebastian City Council.
