The Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) is a leading academic institution in the areas of agriculture, food, animal production, forestry, environment, biology, and landscape architecture. It is part of the University of Lisbon, which is the largest and highest-ranked university in Portugal. ISA is situated in the heart of Lisbon, in an extensive academic campus known spanning an impressive 100 hectares in the heart of the Portuguese capital which was created in 1910.
GreenLab@Lisbon is an integral part of ISA and promotes collaborative projects bringing together researchers, students, private companies, the public sector and society at large. The GreenLab@Lisbon functions as an innovation hub driving progress in smart and sustainable practices. The initiative cultivates a culture of proactive learning and embodies a vision that prioritizes open education, research, and knowledge dissemination, leveraging scientific expertise for innovative endeavours with a focus on achieving a sustainable future. In this capacity, GreenLab@Lisbon becomes a valuable asset for the global innovation community, facilitating user-driven innovation and propelling progress toward a brighter future.
The GreenLab@Lisbon at Tapada da Ajuda campus also accommodates spin-off companies and private enterprises aligned with ISA’s overarching mission.
