The Care and Autonomy Living Lab (CALL) is a participative tool to support the challenge of technology and digital transfer within the field of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Ageing through the creation of an ecosystem of open innovation within the WeMind Cluster, former Mental Health Cluster of Catalonia.
This space allows the promotion of technological and social innovation projects, incorporating user-centred methodologies and digital technologies. So, the CALL is a tool for transformation, to shape and reshape the present, through considering the actual needs of all the actors implied. The CALL is structured in relation to three central axes: knowledge co-production, the user-centred design, and the active participation of members of the quadruple helix of innovation: companies and institutions, stakeholders and users, academia and research centres, and public administration and policy makers.
The creation of a Living Lab arises from the fusion of different ideas, initiatives and needs resulting from the collaborative endeavours of partners within WeMind Cluster. (https://www.clustersalutmental.com/els-nostres-socis/). WeMind Cluster is committed to fostering collaboration between technology and social innovation, as this convergence paves the way for addressing societal challenges, shifting the focus from shareholder to shared value.
The CALL allows us to define and understand the context of specific challenges and provides a space for brainstorming and democratic decision-making. Moreover, our Living Lab plays a pivotal role in expediting the digitalization process within the fields of mental health, neuroscience, and ageing.
