Dingle creativity and innovation hub

The Dingle Peninsula is a popular tourist destination in the southwest of Ireland with a resident
population of 12,000 but sees visitors in excess of 1 million annually. The vision of the Dingle
Creativity and Innovation Hub is to build a creative, livable and sustainable community, fostering a
vibrant and diverse ecosystem of stakeholders to facilitate the creation and maintenance of well-paid,
year-round jobs on the Dingle Peninsula. We apply a flexible multi-layered approach building on the
local (at home and our diaspora) & attracting the new, building networks of resources and capabilities
aspiring to, primed for and delivering entrepreneurial growth of sustainable enterprise
(private & social). Engagement at all levels – Community, research, industry and policymaker – is
central to this story and has led to a hybrid top-down meets bottom-up approach that is achieving
concrete results and providing value for all stakeholders.

What we aim to achieve:
• A vibrant, strongly networked, transition–engaged community with a robust co-created vision of
the future for the community
• Sustainable strategies bringing that co-created vision into reality
• Employment impact of 200+ jobs
• Enabling conditions for 200+ new Connected (Home) Working incomes to be sustained on
the Peninsula
