Historically Labelled Living Labs
Since its formation in 2006 ENoLL has labelled 440+ Living Labs. See the full list of Labelled Living Labs who are not active members of the network.
DEMETRA final objective is a new modus operandi for research in agri-food sector that could be transfer to different application fields. DEMETRA is working to provide innovative products and services, focusing on development and experimentation of technologies for therapy and diagnosis in crops protection. New effective and safe agrochemicals are studied through chemical nanotechnology application. Furthermore, a new diagnostic method is under study investigating the young metabolomics science. Important results have been reached over 18 months of protopization and test activities for Xylella fastidiosa control, quarantine phytopathogen that is spread in southern Europe. This experimentation has been conducted during the project Demetra, granted by Puglia Region (INNOLABS, POR Puglia FESR-FSE 2014–2020, Asse prioritario 1—Ricerca, sviluppo tecnologico, innovazione Azione 1.4.b “Supporto alla generazione di soluzioni innovative a specifici problemi di rilevanza sociale”).
The network is heterogeneous, involving both research organizations and companies working in agro-industrial, nanotechnology and chemical analysis fields. Currently, partners and collaborators are: Federazione provinciale Coldiretti Lecce (final user and host organization), TCT s.r.l., Agro.Biolab Laboratory s.r.l., Agribios Italiana s.r.l., Lab.Instruments s.r.l., National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology (INSTM), Politecnico di Bari – DICATECh, CNR – Istituto per la Protezione Sostenibile delle Piante (IPSP) and CRSFA “Basile Caramia”,Università della Tuscia, Department of Agriculture and Forest Sciences (DAFNE) and Phy.Dia. srl (Academic Spin off of Università della Tuscia).
The technologies under study derived from an active dialogue between researchers and agro-industrial companies involving all end users, thanks to the approach of Focus Groups, capable of defining objectives, final concept and methods. A timely dissemination plan has been realized to disseminate living lab results not only in the academic but also in the industrial and civil fields. Furthermore, a panel/forum of citizens and experts has been created using web tools (website, facebook page, yuotube channel and newsletters).
Currently, some activities of the regional project Demetra are continuing thanks to the national project NEMESI-“Green Nanotechnologies for sustainable protection of plants”, granted by Ministry of Education, University and Research (MINISTERO DELL’ISTRUZIONE, DELL’UNIVERSITA’ E DELLA RICERCA, Piano Nazionale della Ricerca, PNR 2015-2020—Chimica verde, Italy).
