Senior-Lab

Senior-Lab

The senior-lab is an innovation and research platform dedicated to the quality of life of the elderly. The interdisciplinary approach is in its DNA as it was created by three schools of applied sciences, each one specialized in very different, but yet complementary, subjects (management, engineering, health, art and design).

In our team, we strongly believe that no successful innovation is possible without the involvement of the end-users since the first steps of the process. For this reason, we develop all our projects with a community of seniors citizens, in a user-driven mind-set. The elderly share with us their experience, expectations and aspirations in order to co-create products, services and technologies that will concretely match their needs.

Flagship projects

For the period 2018-2020, the senior-lab is focusing on the key theme “Seniors & Mobility”. It explores it through several actions such as research, applied projects, survey and events. In each of those actions, seniors citizens and other stakeholders have an active and determining role. At the end of this year, all the knowledge acquired through those actions will be gathered in a book.

Imagining the Green Cities of the Future: Global Cases – Workshop

Thursday, 14 Mar 2024
Online
This is a role-play where each participant will embody a key figure in society. Together, we will collaboratively craft strategies aimed at fostering a sustainable future by envisioning the world in 2050. The focus lies on various cities worldwide, each poised for a green transition. Through dialogue and negotiation, the aim is to forge agreements that pave the way for necessary actions and initiatives.
