The TRANSFORMER project considers entire regions as Living Labs, in which new ways of transformation towards a climate-neutral future can be developed, tested and implemented.
The TRANSFORMER is an H2020 project that works with four regions, the Ruhr Area, DE, Emilia Romagna, IT, Lower Silesia, PL and Western Macedonia, GR, on the transition from fossil-fuel-based to zero-carbon local economies. TRANSFORMER Super Living Labs bring together all relevant stakeholders of a region: universities, municipalities, companies, and civil society organizations to work in new cooperation formats and design project ideas for transformation to long-term climate neutrality.
ENoLL has developed the Capacity Building Program for the four regions in the project and for the User Forum regions which are learning about this regional collaboration approach. The Capacity Building Program included lessons on Living Lab fundamentals, stakeholder mapping and engagement and development of a new methodological tool called the Co-creation session design canvas which helps the regions design their co-creative sessions in real-life environment.
