Regional Living Lab Summit 2020

Başakşehir Living Lab will be hosting the 3rd Regional Living Lab Summit 2020 (RLLS’20) during 25-26 November 2020. The summit aims to form a creative ecosystem model for cities by developing Living Labs and empowering entrepreneurs around the region through the support and collaboration of public authorities, academies, private organizations, NGOs and users.

The 3rd Regional Living Lab Summit 2020 will be an “online event” due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be sponsored by Başakşehir Municipality, Commercialization Center of Istanbul, which has been established by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Angel Effect, an investment fund for startups.

Istanbul city is setting up a “creative innovation ecosystem” with more than 60 various kinds of hubs. Living Labs are becoming “facilitators of co-creativity and implementation of valuable products and services” for the cities, and hence empowering local governments for creating new business and services locally, while adding economic, social and political power to countries. Living Labs have a chance to break paradoxes between creativity and bureaucracy, and they can realize this by involving all the stakeholders from idea development through to testing and implementation stages.

The 3rd Regional Living Lab Summit will have the participation of mayors, academicians, representatives from, ENoLL, EU and financial institutions as well as entrepreneurs organizations and living lab experts.
