The Flemish Department for Mobility and Public Works organizes an event with the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy of the EU as the main topic. The European Green Deal includes a target to reduce transport-related greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050.
The event invites two keynote speakers. The Flemish Minister for Mobility and Public Works, Lydia Peeters, is one of them.
Furthermore, there will be a panel discussion on green and smart mobility. Jan Adriaenssens, the Director of imec’s City of Things, is a member of the panel on digital mobility. He will share his views on sustainable mobility in the city and the importance of the interplay of physical and digital infrastructure.
