Cities face increasing social, environmental and economic challenges, which are even
accentuated by the recent Covid 19. To address these challenges, we call cities to become
smarter and more sustainable, particularly in terms of its governance. Smart sustainable cities
are the places where citizens play important roles in creating urban innovations, among other
stakeholders from public and private sectors.
