Vacancy: Living Lab Manager

Description of the position
CENFIM (www.cenfim.org) is a cluster and innovation hub whose purpose is to promote competitiveness through innovation among its companies in the value chain of the furniture industry and other sectors of the furnishing sector industry (lighting, flooring, textiles…).
The living lab manager will be in charge of the implementing and managing an interior design living lab, which will initially be used for hotel interior design. The living lab is located in the Science and Technology Park for Tourism and Leisure of Catalonia (PCT) in Vilaseca, Tarragona.

 

The living lab will have the double purpose of carrying out innovation projects and providing services to businesses. The living lab manager must bring a vision on innovation topics, experience in project management and in obtaining public funding. With regards to providing companies with services, the living lab manager will propose the appropriate systems and technologies for measuring and analysing user behaviour in the face of interior design solutions. The services provided by the living lab will be aimed at
influencers (architects, interior designers), hotel promoters and managers, and manufacturers of home furnishing products.
The implementation project will initially last 2 years, starting at the beginning of 2019. The duration of the living lab may be extended.

 

Candidate requirements
Bachelor’s degree: Marketing, Engineering… Very motivated and/or with a post-graduate degree related
to user behaviour analysis.
Minimum experience of 2 years in project management in a company or entity (e.g. University, R+D+I,
cluster, etc.).
Willing to travel around Catalonia and occasionally abroad. Must have their own vehicle.
Languages: C1-level Spanish
Minimum B2-level English.

 

Additional desirable qualities:
 PhD, Master’s/post-graduate degree which complements your initial training (either completed or in progress)
 Experience in measuring and analysing people’s behaviour
 Experience in innovation techniques such as design thinking, evidence-based design, etc.
 Knowledge of the interior design sector
 Experience in writing applications and justifications for project grants
 Knowledge of European programmes (e.g. H2020, Erasmus+, etc.)
 Languages: high level of English and Catalan (C1 level)

 

Offer
Full-time work contract. The possibility to combine work with current
studies (e.g. Master’s/PhD).
Start date: Beginning of 2019
Salary: €38,000 per year
