In this frame, the Smart Community plays a fundamental role toward an holistic view aimed to understand the processes of change in the social, economic and organization contexts and to achieve an harmonious progression in the society. This new approach has already started with the Living Lab of Puglia@service, which promotes the collaboration of citizens with all the stakeholders involved in service delivering (user driven innovation). The “smart” use of new technologies enables service integration overcoming silos structure of the Public administration.
The workshop aims to present the outcomes of the European project OUTSMART (FI-PPP) described by its own actors (Aarhus, Berlin, Birmingham, Santander and Trento), with the presence of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) by ENoLL Council member Tuija Hirvikoski. The project Puglia@Service is going to be introduced as a concrete opportunity to put into practice this new approach in Puglia territory.
The President of Major Cities of Europe Group will close the speaker session, opening a round table with the involvement of both local operators and international guests.
During the wrap-up session, the Mayor of Lecce will exhort all the operators to actively support the process started by the Municipality towards Lecce Smart City through the use of the Living Lab as an instruments able to put together requirements of Lecce city and new European models. This process is expected to boost new opportunities and synergies with a view to EC Funding Programme 2014-2020 and the candidacy of Lecce as European Capital Of Culture 2019.
The event will take place on March 14th and will be webstreamed here.
