Thess-AHALL presents ENoLL and the OLLD during the Open Access Week 2018

On the occasion of the International Open Access Week 2018, AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory Postdoctoral Research Associate, Product Manager at Nively and ENoLL Council member Evdokimos Konstantinidis presented the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and the Open Living Lab Days Conference in a special day event, held on Tuesday, 30^th October by the Library Information Center of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), in cooperation with the Greek Chapter of the Open Knowledge Foundation (OK Greece).

Mr Konstantinidis made a detailed presentation of ENoLL, as the global network of Living Labs that promotes the principles of co-design, co-creation and co-production, setting the public in the core of research, along with researchers, academics and private initiatives, who support the network. He also referred to the vision of ENoLL and its openness both to the research and the public societies, justifying why it is important for the Open Access Week to host a presentation about Living Labs and their widest clustering organization, EnoLL.

Moreover, Mr Konstantinidis focused on the membership of the AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory Living Lab, the Thessaloniki Active and Healthy Ageing Living Lab (Thess-AHALL) in ENoLL. He mentioned that Thess-AHALL has joined the network since 2015 as an adherent member, noting that in 2018 it was elected an Effective and Council member of the organization, having received wide acknowledgment and great distinctions (including the two LL Awards, won in 2016 and 2017; 3^rd and 2^nd places, respectively).

A special reference was made to the Open Living Lab Days annual international conference, held by ENoLL, since the city of Thessaloniki, and especially Thess-AHALL will host the next OLLD 2019, with the collaboration of the Urenio Smart Cities Lab and the support of OK Greece and other local and international bodies. The next OLLD will be held on 3-5 September 2019 and Mr Konstantinidis warmly invited all interested parts from the academia, the policy making, the industry, but also from the public to join the event, explaining that it is not a conference, addressing only to experts and researchers, but to everyone, interested in innovation, research and co-creation.
