Living Labs and Smart Cities: Linking two emerging concepts through user-centered innovation -session will be held at The XXIV ISPIM Conference – Innovating in Global Markets: Challenges for Sustainable Growth in Helsinki, Finland, 16-19 June 2013. It is for researchers, Living Lab managers, city representatives and anyone interested in the much-hyped phenomena of Living Labs and Smart Cities.
This session will shed light on these concepts and how they can be used effectively for sustainable, positive impact on the wellbeing and empowerment of citizens and end-users. Researchers, managers and practitioners in the field of both Smart Cities and Living Labs will present their latest practices, explaining which successes are being created and where the caveats lie. This session will provide deeper insight into the growing popularity of these two concepts, but will also outline the next steps towards full maturity and a mutually-reinforcing relationship.
Organised by International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM), and hosted by Aalto University School of Economics in partnership with Lappeenranta University of Technology, this conference will bring together around 500 innovation experts from 50 countries.
