As of 23rd May 2012, the 6th Wave of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) brought to the consolidation of the network by means of forty-six additional network members of the all together 72 proposals received.
Of the successful proposals, the strongest countries represented in the EU are France and Spain, while slightly over a third of the new members are from non-European countries. The result shows a continuing reinforcement of ENoLL both in Europe and throughout the world, setting the stage for a strong role of the Living Lab movement in the context of EU 2020 Innovation Union and other relevant European Union policies.
The 6th Wave of ENoLL was announced in Poznan, Poland in conjunction with the Future Internet Week and with the support of the Polish EU Presidency and the results were announced by the European Commission in Mechelen, Belgium on May 23rd at a special 6th Wave Welcoming event.
