The current edition of the Developer’s competition focuses on the ‘inclusive society’ in the broadest sense: applications that contribute to overcoming exclusion, and improving economic performance, employment opportunities, quality of life, social participation and cohesion.
In keeping with the European spirit of the competition, this refers to the 2006 declaration on ‘ICT for inclusive society (Riga). First prize is 10.000 €, total prize money of 25.000 €.

Participation is open to any individual developer or organization, from the public and private sector.
You can submit your application through the form on the website (submit your application).
An independent jury will select the top 10 projects and the winner, based on the following criteria:
Criterion 1: Degree to which the application contributes to an ‘inclusive society
Criterion 2: Appeal of the application from a design and usability perspective
Criterion 3: Inventive and original nature of the application
Deadline for submission is November 8th 2010, 12 pm (Local time in Belgium, GMT +01:00 ).
