Launching officially today is a unique opportunity to undertake research, design and experimentation in the wild, in a living, urban environment as a part of the 20th anniversary edition of FutureEverything festival, 26-28 February 2015 in Manchester, UK.

Festival as Lab (FAL15) aims to take research out of the laboratory to test ideas, co-design & prototype ideas/concepts live with festival attendees and/or Manchester residents. Projects must launch and remain live over the festival period and they could be live place for those days, or run over a longer period.

Living Lab trails during a festival enables the free circulation of people and ideas, connects people at different levels, from grassroots to government and business leaders, and provides a unique temporary ecosystem & platform to conduct participatory research, design and innovation processes to showcase ground-breaking concepts, products and services to commercial enterprise and the international design and innovation community.

Researchers, product development companies, innovation agencies, commercial enterprises, consortia & other organisations are encouraged to submit proposals for this unique opportunity.

Submission Deadline: 5pm, 27th October 2014.
