Why CAPS are so important?

ENoLL is thrilled to be hosting a Living Lab workshop at the CAPS2014 conference in Brussels on the 1st of July.

Why CAPS are so important?

CAPS can be described as non-commercial, open Internet platforms, connecting citizens to each other (and to the “Internet of Things” whenever necessary) and providing them with a more effective way to spontaneously adopt more sustainable behaviours and lifestyles, contribute to a low-carbon economy, develop alternative collaborative approaches to problem solving and finally actively engage, innovate and act, individually or collectively, towards societally, environmentally and economically sustainable approaches and solutions to tackle societal challenges

The ENoLL workshop on Living Labs will take place on Day 1 of the conference, the 1st of July, at The Egg in Brussels from 14.00 to 15.30. Registeration is free but must be done in advance here.

Please see the workshop programme and invitied speakers below

The objective of this session is to build upon existing experiences and expertise in the Living Lab community reflecting in existing trends and future opportunities and challenges.

By joining this session you will have the opportunity to get in contact with some of the on-going experiences in this field from the Living Lab community and to join a common and open discussion about the transferability and scalability of activities and solutions, assessing how Living Labs are evolving to support this phenomena, and the role of living labs in linking Grassroots actions to research, local innovation and local, regional and international policies.
