European Commission (Support for Industrial Innovation of the DG Enterprise and Industry) invites all stakeholders to a public consultation on the draft text of “The Smart Guide to Service Innovation: How to better use Cohesion Policy Funds for capitalising on service innovation as a catalyst for regional structural change and industrial modernisation”.
EC is inviting all relevant stakeholders to comment on the draft text an upcoming Smart Guide on Service Innovation. The guide does neither cover all forms of innovation nor all aspects of regional innovation strategies that may be supported on a regional level. It should rather be seen as a practical toolbox with ideas, examples and fresh input into the work of regional stakeholders while designing smart specialisation and cluster strategies as well as other policies to address societal challenges, which make better use of the potential of service innovation. The guide specifically mentions Living Labs.
The Smart Guide is primarily addressed to national, regional and local stakeholders interested in promoting regional structural change and industrial modernisation, and in particular to decision-makers in the Managing Authorities of Cohesion Policy Funds.
The objective is to publicly present this Smart Guide on Service Innovation during the final EPISIS conference, 4 – 5 June 2012, Helsinki, Finland.
To participate, please send your comments in track changes in the word file to [email protected] before 13 April 2012. Please state “Reply to public consultation on the Smart Guide” in the subject line of your email.
The draft text can be downloaded here.
