ENoLL attended the ‘Open Innovation 2.0: The Platform for Digital Innovation‘ Conference in the heart of Transylvania – Cluj-Napoca, between 13 and 14 June 2017. ENoLL has actively participated at the conference; in the plenary session, workshops and presenting the activities of the network members at a booth. Network members which have joined the conference and a Council meeting were Laurea Living Lab, Botnia Living Lab, Basaksehir Living Lab, imec and Brainport Eindhoven.
On the first day of the conference which was attended by innovation experts, policy-makers, academic scholards and individuals engaged in various aspects of innovation and entrepreneurship, Tuija Hirvikoski (ENoLL President) and Zsuzsanna Bodi (ENoLL Association Manager) led a discussion on living labs during a cyber cafe session. On the second day, Tuija Hirvikoski joined international speakers at a Plenary Panel on: OI2 as a service for digital transformation. She also chaired a session on Societal Transformation.
Tuija Hirvikoski and Zsuzsanna Bodi also attended the Cluj Innovation Dialogue (10-11 June) where groups of local innovators and policy makers discussed pressing issues. As it has happened in previous editions of the conference, the Innovation Luminary Awards Gala Dinner was held between the first and the second day of the conference. ENoLL, has received the award last year and joined the ceremony again this year to see which five excelling OI2 pioneers and practitioners were awarded for their eminent contributions in the field of open innovation. One of project partners from the now ended PELARS project – Arduino (open source, computer hardware and software company) has received an award for ‘Open and scalable hardware ecosystem’.
An impressive innovation exhibition also took place offering visibility to OI-related projects and activities. At the ENoLL Booth, we presented several different projects in which ENoLL has been active. Namely, SynchroniCity, U4I0T, iSCAPE and Organicity which was promoted by Botnia Living Lab.
