In mid September, the Institute of Innovation for Human Wellbeing (I2BC), leader in the provision of innovative solutions that improve people’s wellbeing, launched the PLI (People Led Innovation) network. The PLI network, or Red PLI as it is known in Spanish, is the Andalusian Network of Living Labs and Social Spaces for Research and Innovation (SSRIs). This initiative was launched within the framework of the European Project MedLab and forms part of the federated Social Network Lorea.

This network makes it possible to coordinate and bring together people who work in the field of open innovation and social innovation in Andalusia, involving various groups of citizens as well as public and private agents interested in this subject.

The development of this Network was agreed by the participants in the Ist Conference on Andalusian Living Labs and Social Spaces for Research and Innovation that took place in Malaga last June and was organised by the I2BC.

This Network strengthens the leadership of Andalusia in this field, a region with 8 Living Labs officially registered in the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and 5 SSRIs acknowledged by the Spanish Platform eVia.
