ENoLL wins European Association Award for Event Innovation with OpenLivingLab Days 2025

Brussels, 26 March 2026 – The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) has been awarded the European Association Award for Event Innovation, recognising its outstanding contribution to advancing best practices and knowledge exchange within the association community.

Presented by the European Society of Association Executives, the award highlights innovative initiatives that strengthen collaboration and engagement across sectors. In its first-ever participation in the competition, ENoLL stood out for its flagship event, OpenLivingLab Days 2025, held in Andorra la Vella.

A New Approach to Event Innovation

The jury particularly praised the event’s Networking Village, an open and inclusive space designed to foster interaction between participants and the local community. Hosted in Plaça del Poble, the initiative transformed a central urban area into a vibrant hub for co-creation, dialogue, and experimentation.

Organised in collaboration with Andorra Recerca + Innovació, the event successfully connected international delegates with local stakeholders, leaving a strong and lasting legacy in the host city.

Bringing Living Labs Closer to Citizens

“OpenLivingLab Days is our flagship event where the Living Labs community comes together to put open innovation into practice. We are proud to bring the Living Labs methodology beyond traditional conference settings and closer to citizens,” said Spela Zalokar, ENoLL Senior Project Manager and OLLD Coordinator, during the award ceremony in Brussels.

At the core of the Living Labs methodology is the quadruple helix model, which promotes collaboration among citizens, academia, industry, and public authorities. This approach enables the co-creation of innovative solutions from the earliest stages of development, ensuring real-world impact and inclusivity.

Looking Ahead: OpenLivingLab Days 2026

Following the success of the 2025 edition, OpenLivingLab Days 2026 will take place in Brussels and Antwerp from 29 September to 2 October 2026, bringing the global Living Labs community together once again to explore the future of open innovation.
