Join this online session organised within the Living-in.EU Capacity-Building Programme to explore the LDT CitiVerse EDIC and its role in supporting cities’ digital transformation journeys.
The event will introduce the vision behind the EDIC and how it aims to support municipalities in deploying Local Digital Twins and immersive, participatory digital environments for urban planning and public services.
For ENoLL members, the session offers a valuable opportunity to gain early insights into this emerging European initiative and to explore how Living Labs can contribute to city-driven ecosystems through co-creation, experimentation, and user-centred innovation.
Cities across Europe are increasingly adopting advanced digital tools to improve planning, decision-making, and citizen engagement. The LDT CitiVerse EDIC is being developed to support municipalities in this transition by enabling collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared technological infrastructures.
This session will present the initiative’s vision, governance structure, and planned activities, while also exploring how Living Labs and innovation stakeholders can contribute to real-world implementation.
Participants will also learn from a practical case study from Germany, illustrating how Local Digital Twins and immersive technologies can support urban innovation in practice.
The event will conclude with an interactive workshop and open discussion, where participants can reflect on cities’ needs, identify gaps in the current ecosystem, and explore how the EDIC and the Living-in.EU community can better support implementation.
