Thessaloniki Smart Mobility Living Lab

Thessaloniki Smart Mobility Living Lab is one of Europe’s largest Living Labs on mobility. The entire city of Thessaloniki is a platform for testing technological and innovative solutions, being in the list of smart cities in the mobility sector. In this ecosystem, various mobility operators and technology providers are engaged in providing data and expertise to create the right conditions for the exploitation of this infrastructure for the benefit of the whole ecosystem, which has the citizens at its center. The Thessaloniki Smart Mobility Living Lab includes, among others: extended IoT equipment in vehicles and in the city streets; real time traffic data in the whole Region of Central Macedonia; short-term predictions of traffic conditions and travel time based on multi-source data; mobility and activity patterns extraction and analysis.
