ENoLL is proud to be a partner in PRISM (Paediatric Clinical Research Infrastructure Service Model). This Horizon Europe-funded project (GA101292607) supports multinational paediatric research. Specifically, it provides infrastructure and expertise to investigator-initiated studies. Now, the PRISM open call is inviting applications, and Living Labs have a clear role to play.
As a partner, ENoLL brings its expertise in Living Labs and co-creation to the project. In particular, ENoLL helps shape inclusive, user-centred paediatric research, with a focus on decentralised trials. Throughout the project, ENoLL will coordinate the Living Lab environments that support hands-on experimentation and validation phases. As a result, PRISM’s innovative solutions are developed and tested together with the people they are designed to serve. Furthermore, this approach strengthens the relevance, usability and adoption of new solutions across the paediatric research ecosystem. This is also where ENoLL’s network of Living Labs plays a direct role.
PRISM aims to strengthen the conduct of multinational paediatric research. To do so, it runs a two-stage selection procedure for pilot paediatric clinical studies. Selected studies then receive comprehensive, end-to-end support. These are multinational investigator-initiated studies conducted in 3 to 6 countries across Europe and Canada.
First, short-listed projects receive dedicated support from the PRISM consortium. This support covers the design and planning of their full application. After the final assessment, selected projects receive funding for investigation and trial coordination costs. In addition, the consortium provides multinational trial management services.
For ENoLL’s network of Living Labs, the PRISM open call is a meaningful opportunity. Above all, it offers a way to engage with cutting-edge paediatric research. It also supports solutions that are genuinely co-created with the communities they serve.
Moreover, ENoLL coordinates decentralised trial environments within PRISM. Therefore, Living Labs are well positioned to support selected projects through hands-on experimentation, validation and real-world testing. In this way, they help keep paediatric research grounded in the needs of patients, families and healthcare professionals.
Living Labs interested in getting involved are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria below. This applies whether they join as applicants or as part of the broader PRISM ecosystem.
Before applying, applicants are strongly encouraged to read the full call text and application guidelines. The deadline for Letters of Intent is 31 December 2026 at 17:00 CET.
