Living Labs Incubator (LLI) studies and supports the work of Living Labs at and around RWTH Aachen

Living Labs Incubator (LLI) studies and supports the work of Living Labs at and around RWTH Aachen University, the largest technical university in Germany. The main goals of the LLI are: establishing a network of Living Labs, developing adequate Living Lab research and evaluation methods and standards, support Living Lab research and practice in the LL Training Centre. Facing up to global sustainability challenges in a region with deep structural changes, the LLI seeks to strengthen the local, regional and national innovation ecosystem that the RWTH Aachen University forms an integral part of. By facilitating peer- learning, offering methods and tools and reflecting on political and epistemic dimensions, the LLI provides a unique knowledge platform devoted to research in and through Living Labs based at a technical university. LLI is funded within the Excellence Strategy by the German state and federal governments, aiming at promoting cutting-edge inter- and transdisciplinary research.
