ENoLL is proud to announce the renewal of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) Barcelona, reinforcing our joint commitment to co‑create, test and scale urban innovation.
By maintaining this strategic alliance, ENoLL and SCEWC ensure that Living Labs remain at the forefront of global debates on city resilience, sustainability and citizen engagement.
As part of this year’s renewed collaboration, ENoLL will host an Agora Session at SCEWC 2025:
Inclusive by Design: Co-Creating Smart City Solutions through Living Labs
The session will showcase four pioneering city initiatives that are leveraging the Living Lab approach to advance digital inclusion. Each city will present a concrete example of how data spaces and emerging technologies—such as generative AI—are being used to co-create and test digital tools and services in real-life settings. These initiatives aim to improve accessibility, foster engagement, and enhance wellbeing across communities, with a particular focus on supporting marginalised and vulnerable groups at risk of digital exclusion. By hosting this session, ENoLL brings the lived experience of its members directly to the world stage, demonstrating how Living Labs bridge the gap between technological potential and societal impact.
Held in Barcelona since 2011, Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s biggest and most influential event for cities and urban innovation. Every year, it brings together leaders from global companies, governments and organizations to move cities towards a better future. The goal is to collectivize urban innovation across the globe and empower cities to tackle the critical challenges facing them today.
Their mission is to accelerate a brighter urban paradigm towards green, efficient and thriving cities that leave no one behind.
SCEWC 2025 will take place 4–6 November 2025 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain.
This renewed partnership is driven by a shared vision to embed Living Labs at the core of urban innovation and development strategies over the long term. Through this strategic partnership, we aim to:
