The Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” aims to pioneer, showcase, and accelerate the transition to healthy soils by 2030, supporting the long-term commitments at European and global level within the Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals. Ultimately, the creation of 100 Living Labs and Lighthouses will accelerate the creation and uptake of solutions by land managers, showcase measurable increase in soil health, improved social capital and citizen awareness.
Through the participation to PREPSOIL and NATI00NS projects, ENoLL is already strongly supporting the Mission and the training and creation of Soil Health Living Labs.
We are happy to announce that ENoLL support to the Soil Mission will continue until 2030 within the EU-funded Framework Partnership “SOILL – Support Structure for SOIL Living Labs” currently under Grant Agreement Preparation and expected to start in January 2024.
Coordinated by ENoLL, SOILL aims to set up and run an effective, agile, transdisciplinary, capillary, open and fair one-stop-shop support structure. Alongside ENoLL, the SOILL partnership brings together a wide and international multi-disciplinary combination of complementary expertise across 47 partners. This partnership will coordinate, support, enlarge, and promote the network of 100 Soil Mission Living Labs and Lighthouses, while ensuring their co-created, user-centered, harmonized, reliable, impactful, replicable, and sustainable lead of the transition towards healthy soils across different settings, geographical and socio-economic contexts.
