WeCare Co Lab drives open innovation within SJD’s ecosystem to transform situations of vulnerability and their underlying determinants. It focuses on people experiencing diverse and intersecting forms of vulnerability —such as illness or social exclusion—across critical life stages like childhood or older adulthood. Its motto, “Co-creating care that matters — for lives that matter,” reflects its commitment to meaningful impact.  

Grounded in real world contexts and co-created with communities, WeCare Co Lab acts as a collaborative ecosystem where communities, practitioners, researchers, and institutions work together to shape solutions that are both socially responsive and structurally transformative. 

Our approach integrates robust methodologies for social impact assessment, combining participatory processes with advanced ethical criteria to ensure that every intervention is not only effective but also equitable, transparent, and accountable. We uphold the highest standards of integrity and respect for the people and communities involved through continuous ethical reflection, rigorous oversight mechanisms, and a commitment to responsible and respectful practice. 

Through this model, WeCare Co Lab becomes a catalyst for inclusive innovation, bridging knowledge, practice, and lived experience to build healthier, fairer, and more resilient societies.
