Universcience Living Lab

Universcience merges two Parisian science centres: i) the “Palais de la Découverte”; and ii)

Universcience merges two Parisian science centres: i) the “Palais de la Découverte”; and ii) “la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie”. Its simple yet challenging goal is to inspire as many people as possible to be curious about the world around them, encouraging them both to marvel at science and to engage in scientific reasoning. Universcience provides:

  1. exhibitions accessible to all;
  2. iconferences, debates, events, publications;
  3. spaces designed specifically for children (Cité des enfants);
  4. dedicated services at the “Cité des métiers” and “Cité de la santé”;
  5. documentary resources with the Science Library;
  6. experiments with innovative tools such as the FabLab and the Living Lab at the Carrefour numérique.

Universcience Living Lab welcomes and supports innovative projects in the fields of education, culture, entrepreneurship, social innovation and digital technologies. Visitors are involved as co-designers in the research or innovation process, influencing and bringing added value to the project.
