The SWELL – Sustainable Built Environments for Health and Wellbeing Living Lab was originally established as a local arena in Trondheim, Norway, for open and user driven innovation related to user engagement and technology. In the last years, we have focused on supporting stakeholder engagement using digital technologies. In particular, we focus on enhancing the health and well being of people in the built environment, and exploring digital technologies and diverse methods to support sustainable solutions.
The SWELL Living Lab has a multi-disciplinary focus at the intersection of health and wellbeing and the built environment, and sustainable transitions at its nexus. It is aimed at addressing societal challenges, by focusing on specific aspects such as health and well-being, while taking into account the bigger picture such as the environment we live in.
By being a member of ENoLL, we aim to extend and improve the development of services through increased inspirations, ideas and resources by engaging with users, in particular, students and school children, and also participants from other Living Labs.
