The Social Digital Lab, accredited in 2022 by the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), is the evolution of the Suara Lab — a new transversal model that transforms the entire organisation and its innovation model toward a new kind of cooperation between public administration, business, citizens, the social economy, and academia.
It is the project that adds value to the innovation process and acts as a lever for the digital transformation of social economy organisations and the creation of services with social impact. It is based on a unique way of understanding and working on innovation, with its own methodological approach, where collaboration with third parties, experimentation, knowledge generation, and the development of digital solutions grounded in reality form the foundation of its activity.
Its objective is to involve end users and frontline professionals in the design and testing of prototypes, aiming to build an Open Innovation Community that facilitates the implementation and commercialisation of technologies that serve people.
The Social Digital Lab is an experimentation environment that allows diverse actors with common interests to collaborate within a scientific and technological domain to develop and apply innovative ideas that address current and real-world problems in an integrated way.
The Lab also drives the quadruple helix model, consolidating a relational ecosystem with universities, public administrations, technology centres, businesses, and startups.
