The SmartCity Living Lab invites creative people, companies, researchers, and urban planners to come and test in situ and in vivo innovative solutions and services. The main themes of the SmartCity Living Lab are public space, circular economy, sustainable city, zero carbon, mobility, urban agriculture, citizen participation, smart city, sport and culture. The SmartCity Living Lab is financed by the Region (PICRI), the Ministry of Culture, and Europe (eContent+). It has enabled the implementation of experiments in the heart of the campus of the Cité Internationale Universitaire and has laid the foundations of the first urban Living Lab in Paris:

  1. these experiments accompany the territorial development and urban projects of the Greater Paris region and take the form of pilots and prototypes involving local actors, users, and inhabitants of the concerned territories;
  2. these experiments have led to the development of digital tools in the context of participatory approaches involving the inhabitants and users of Paris and the southern suburbs and allowed Dedale to initiate Domaine Public, a research and experimentation programme on public space.
