PROBIO Living Lab

The PROBIO Living Lab is an organic, on-farm Living Lab that demonstrates how organic farming can offer real, practical solutions to climate and environmental challenges. Located in South Moravia, Czech Republic – one of the most fertile but also most drought-prone regions in the country – the lab provides a real-world testing ground for innovative and resilient approaches rooted in organic principles. CZPROLL focuses on three main areas:

– improving climate resilience and soil fertility in organic systems;

– adapting crop and livestock production to drought and erosion-prone conditions;

– enhancing knowledge sharing and implementation into practice among organic farmers.
Each area is supported by applied research, participatory experiments, and multi-actor collaboration. The Living Lab is coordinated by Czech Organics, in close cooperation with Ekofarma PROBIO and PRO-BIO – building on long-term experience in retail business, seed production and innovation, organic farming practice, and knowledge transfer.
