mQoL Living Lab: Mobile Communications and Computing for Life Quality

Our goal is to measure quality of life as it naturally unfolds—across time, place, and context. We treat everyday behavior as something that can be observed, analyzed, and improved—much like a cardiologist examines a heart. Our research covers healthy aging, migraines, diabetes, obesity, joint recovery, and breast cancer, focusing on outcomes that matter to patients, not just clinical results. We’ve received over 45 research grants and published nearly 200 peer-reviewed papers. Our work helps improve how we assess disease risk and treatment effects. Through our mQoL Living Lab and software platform, we co-design and test new health apps using real-time data, machine learning, and cutting-edge AI—advancing personalized, practical solutions in digital healthcare.
