MedTechLab®

MedTechLab® is an interdisciplinary meeting space to think, to co-create, to model, to test, to experiment, and to assess the use of products and/or services incorporating new technologies in the fields of Health and Autonomy in a controlled environment and in a real-life environment. Human resources, areas and equipment are dedicated to MedTechLab®. MedTechLab® provides collective intelligent workshops based on Design Thinking methodology. In addition, MedTechLab® has a testbed consisting in a “smart apartment” equipped with different sensors (presence sensor/motion sensor) and cameras/analysers. The partnership between AESIO Santé and Mines – Saint Etienne is a major advantage. Engineers, scientists, students, and pedagogical engineers are available through the partnership with Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne (Mines Saint-Etienne). Users and Health Professionals (general practitioners, medical specialists, healthcare assistants…) are available through the partnership with AESIO Santé. The test- bed available in the Living Lab, MedTechLab®, is the opportunity to test products and/or services in a controlled environment. Experiments, in a real-life environment, are conducted in medico-social and health-care establishments.
