Living Lab in Gerontechnology for Age-Friendly Home

The Living Lab in Gerontechnology for Age-Friendly Home (AFHLL), established in 2022 under the Hong Kong Housing Society Elderly Resources Centre, is a participatory design and real-home testing environment dedicated to advancing age-friendly living.

It involves older adults as co-designers, enabling them to test emerging solutions and provide feedback to improve products based on real-life needs.

Through its simulated home environment, AFHLL supports user-centred innovation by connecting research, industry, and communities to co-create inclusive solutions, from smart home technologies to assistive devices, supporting ageing in place.
