Internet of Food Alliance (InoFA)

Founded in 2022, INOFA operates on the premise that Digital Technology will dominate the European agrifood value chain. A vertically integrated cluster, initially funded by the Greek General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, it has been formed around an IoT connectivity framework encompassing telecommunications, cloud services, and remote agronomic consultancy. This cluster comprises farmers, packers, retailers, service providers, technology firms, RTOs, and civil society groups. Geographically spanning Greece, it covers animal farming and plan cultivation, as well as services. Aligned with the EU’s Green Deal policy and member entities’ practical needs, INOFA designs eco-conscious projects, supplying tools like GPS animal trackers and biostimulants. Aditionally, digital traceability uplifts farmers’ visibility, aiding successful transitions.
